Understanding the different Skate Canada Programs offered to our Community.

CanSkate

Geared towards skaters of all ages to learn to skate. Whether you want the skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette or just for fun -

CanSkate is where to start.

Learn StarSkate

You got the basics but need more of a challenge? Learn StarSkate expands on the basics adding more figure skating elements.

Advanced StarSkate

You are a figure skater through & through, passing your Star tests, doing private lessons, competing.

Our professional Coaching staff will continue to monitor individual skaters in the Canskate and Learn StarSkate programs and will speak to parents should the time come to move to the next level.

Learn to CanSkate

Canskate is Skate Canada's learn to skate program. Designed for beginners of all ages, where the focus is on fun, participation and basic development. Participants earn ribbons and badges as skills are mastered. Skaters are taught in a group lesson format by Skate Canada professional coaches and supported by trained program assistants.

Learn Starskate

Learn Starskate 1-4 offers opportunities for skaters to develop fundamental figure skating skills in areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. This program teaches figure skating in a group format. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system.
