CanSkate
Geared towards skaters of all ages to learn to skate. Whether you want the skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette or just for fun -
CanSkate is where to start.
STARSkate
You got the basics but need more of a challenge? STARSkate expands on the basics adding more figure skating elements.
STARSkate
You are a figure skater through & through, passing your STARSkate assessments and tests, doing private lessons, competing.
Our professional Coaching staff will continue to monitor individual skaters in the CanSkate and Learn STARSkate programs and will speak to parents should the time come to move to the next level.

CanSkate
CanSkate is Skate Canada's learn to skate program. Designed for beginners of all ages, where the focus is on fun, participation and basic development. Participants earn ribbons and badges as skills are mastered. Skaters are taught in a group lesson format by Skate Canada professional coaches and supported by trained program assistants.

Equipment
Well fitting Figure skates or Hockey skates
View this helpful video for fitting skates. (No molded/plastic skates recommend)
CSA Approved Hockey Helmet (cage optional)
Waterproof Mittens or gloves
NO Hockey Gloves
Warm cloths (avoid restrictive snow suits)
No Scarves
Guards recommend to avoid damaging Blades and Flooring.

STARskate
STARskate offers opportunities for skaters to develop fundamental figure skating skills in areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. This program teaches figure skating in a group format. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system.

STARskate
Figure Skating
STARskate (Private) skating lessons are available and offer the skater one-on-one coaching with a professional coach of their choice.

Your Volunteer fee
Each family is required to fulfill 4 hours of volunteer time to the club.
When you register you will be charged $250.00.
Don't worry, you can choose the installment option when you check out. This will give you the option to work off your hours before your payment is due April 1st.
You can choose to pay the fee upfront and work off the hours as well if you are able.
We can do a refund when the hours are completed.
